Need iTunes Library Cleaner - recommendations?

by cyndymcc / August 10, 2008 11:52 AM PDT

I've consolidated data from several older PCs, and now have hundreds of duplicates in my iTunes library. Any software recommendations (preferably the no cost type)?

(I run Vista)

Thx in advance, Buzztown.

try meta-iPod.

"meta-iPod, the iTunes Cleaner" has a feature which will take care of duplicates as well as a bunch of others (9 total). it's also freeware, so it's worth trying out. you can find it on the myPodApps website.

it's platform independent (mac, win, it doesn't matter. It's all done online). No need to install any additional software.

TuneUp is not free but it supposedly is the best solution.

ITLU ftw
by bald_buddha / November 14, 2012 2:25 PM PST

I still use ITLU. Process 32,149 tracks with no problem. Some of the other programs don't scale well or break when you have to process that much music. Can't believe it still works with iTunes 10 when it was last developed for iTunes 7.
