Head to the Apple store and repeat these questions.
I want to give my mom an e-reader. She is comfortable with computers, but is not familiar with smart phones, etc. (She only uses her basic model cell phone for true phone calls.) I think an iPad would be waaay too much technology for her.
Aside from general reading, she would use the e-reader for two things - traveling and personal material. I'd love your help with a few questions:
1. She will be traveling soon and she loves using guidebooks, maps, etc. Are these sorts of materials available for e-readers?
2. When traveling, can e-readers connect online to look at map websites? Can e-readers be used to send/receive email?
3. She studies in preparation for Bible study discussions she regularly attends. She would like to gather a document of scriptures and references and take them with her to the discussion on an e-reader. Is that possible? Would she do this by saving the material as a PDF and then downloading it to the e-reader? Which e-reader handles this sort of thing the best?
Many thanks for your time and expertise!
