need a new laptop

by mathcat / April 24, 2013 12:05 AM PDT

Hiya,
I had an HP computer and both the hinges broke. I did not drop it or do anything but it had a rotten design and broke. I want a gaming computer for 500 dollars. It does not have to be very good and these are the specs that i want. Windows 7 or up. 500 gigabytes of harddrive space. An intel cpu with 2.4 or more gigahertz of speed. 4 or more gigabytes of ram. This might be impossible and it does not have to be meant completly for games. I want it to handle portal 2 and skyrim. Any suggestions? I hope this is possible.
Live long and prosper

My Toshiba L755 has the specs you're looking for. I paid $520 for it just over a year ago. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium - it might be all Windows 8 by now.

Good luck.

I used to write there were none at that price.

But my kid is gaming on a 380buck Asus K55N. It's in the top 10 now at amazon.com and I suggest you bump the RAM up. My 16GB sticks are due in today.
