My Windows 7 Desktop Background Pictures Folder

by zlzpqx / September 17, 2012 4:50 PM PDT

I have Windows 7 O/S, and I have created a slideshow in the non-shuffle mode for my desktop background, where the pictures of course appear in the sequence in which I had put them in a certain pictures folder.

Is there a facility for rearranging the sequence of the pictures in my above folder so that the slideshow would then correspond to a new rearranged order? I did not find such a facility.

Thank you very much.

Try to make a new pictures folder, put the pictures in it in the new sequence, and use that in stead of the old one. What happens?

Thanks, Kees.

The method which you suggested certainly works.

It surprised me a bit, however, that the system designers who had created the Pictures folder facility had not thought of including a facility whereby a user could right click on a picture and obtain a "move" option, and then click in a space between two pictures in the picture sequence in THAT FOLDER ITSELF where the picture to be moved would move!

On the other hand, I am often simply amazed at the thousands of facilities which the brigade of designers of whichever O/S think of and then implement in a coordinate manner. Collective human genius is incredible.

Thanks again for your usual prompt help.

If you want that pictures come according to your sequence then you need to rename each and every picture file by doing this your got a new arranged order of your pictures in your folder and then they automatically view in the sequence as you want.
