My rarely used Plasma TV is dead. Has 14 blinking red lights

by cubs190803 / April 19, 2013 5:31 AM PDT

My 4-year old rarely used Panasonic Plasma TV is dead. I see 14 flashing red lights and it happened on the day there were lightnings and thunders, although I have a surge protector. Is it a common problem with Plasma TV? How could a rarely used TV die like that?
