If the battery is/was failing we know to not leave it in. An old failing battery can cause motherboard failures.
So remove that battery, then do the generic reset -> http://forums.cnet.com/7726-19681_102-3138013.html?tag=posts;msg3138013
And do not slip in that battery. If the motherboard and such is OK, it will boot the next try.
Hi, My dell won't turn on. The battery has been giving me problems but even if its plugged into the wall it still doesn't start.
Do I need to get a new battery or is it a hardware problem? Do I need to get a new laptop?
Please help!! I will forever be grateful.
