The service is a free one and as such they don't seem to offer support. This seems to confuse folk so I thought I'd lay it out for you.
As to the name change, why not create a new account with the names as you want?
I was trying to just change the user name of my msn.com account to a more professional user name for job application purposes. The original account name was firstname.lastname@example.org and I wanted to change it to email@example.com. However, due to how the website was set up, it changed it to firstname.lastname@example.org. I would like to have my account to go back to email@example.com. How do I do that? Microsoft/MSN webpages are completely useless and will not allow me to revert to my old account.
When I got the confirmation for that change, I was signed into my hotmail.com account and ended up accidentally changing my hotmail.com account to a live.com account. The original account was firstname.lastname@example.org and it is now email@example.com. I want that account to return to firstname.lastname@example.org, but your webpage won't let me change that one either.
And, when I've tried to get help on their website forums, there is no answer, several pending questions identical to this one on the forum with no answers, and no phone number to get assistance. Any help would be appreciated.
