MSN e-mail stored on my computer

by linsbob / January 17, 2005 12:30 PM PST

I have to format my harddrive and reload WindowsXP pro. Can somebody tell me where the e-mail messages are stored on my computer so I can save them to disk?

My emails are in peril as well...BUT never fear, I'm on the hunt. I'll kick a reply this way if I find an answer to our common dilemma. Raise your hand if you think MSN's online "Help" feature and telephone tech support sucks.

Copying your e-mail from one computer to another

You can move your MSN Mail and POP3 e-mail (An e-mail account that uses a common protocol to retrieve e-mail messages from an Internet e-mail server.) messages, and your POP3 e-mail settings, from one computer to another.

--------------------

-On the Help & Settings menu, click Settings
-In the left pane, click "E-mail"
-Click "Copy e-mail"
-Follow the on-screen instructions

This help is courtesy of the MSN online help feature I maligned earlier...I take it back. I still say their tech people are next to useless (nothing personal).
