I must ask one question.
Did you uninstall the Office Starter (trial) version and reboot the system before installing the full version of Office?
I have a Toshiba Satillite C655D 64-bit that I got back in late summer-early fall of last year and I have had no issues until now. My anti-virus, Kaspersky has never picked-up anything. It still hasn't with my install issues, but I did run scans with it pre-install before and after making sure my software met the recommended modifications to make sure it loaded properly (I went into the set-up for the DVD of the program and made compatibility mode was off and made sure that under Organize I went to the Folder Options section and made sure to switch disable virtual files from showing to appearing and made sure to apply both and even rebooted to make sure both options stuck which they did.) Anyway, down to the nitty-gritty issues. I switched from pre-installed Starter 2010.
My first issue is that after the install which appeared to be in working order and have no issues none of the programs that came with the software showed up in the folder that went with the software (the Microsoft Office folder). When I searched in the start menu for the programs that came on the disc I could only find Excel, OneNote and Outlook, which came up separately. I could not find Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Shared Features, Visio Viewer and Office Tools, except for their set-up folders, along with the set-up folders with all of the set-up folders for all of the other programs and the other required set-up folders. Finding and getting into Word was where it got extremely tricky, but somehow do-able which is what leads me to my next issue.
When I searched for Microsoft Office and for Word all of my old Word documents that I had loaded in 2010 starter came up as the search results and not the Word 2010 program itself. To get into the Word program I actually have to open an old document. When I open an old document they open up with all of the restricted features of Starter Word 2010 with a few other issues, I cannot cut, paste and copy. They do not state that they are read-only, protected view mode or any other viewing mode that would restrict my access. To get a brand new, fully functioning Word document with no features limitations I actually have to go to the File tab and open up a completely blank Word document. My Word documents on my computer were made in Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 Starter on a rare occasion 2003, but most of the 2003 stuff has been converted, so the version they are in should more than likely not be an issue as most are 2007 and 2010 Starter Word documents.
Are there anyways to resolve my Microsoft Professional and Academic 2010 issues?
