Microsoft 3500 Mouse Problems with Mac

by Jruss21 / July 8, 2013 1:18 PM PDT

Excuse me if this is not the correct place for this post. I am trying to get my microsoft 3500 mouse to perform right click actions when I press the physical right click button. Instead, it always faults to Expose. When I go to mouse preferences (I am running up to date OSX), there is no option for secondary click. I have no idea where else I could adjust these options. My drivers are up to date as well. Any ideas?

Missing Secondary Setting

I would do that, but I can only set what the primary mouse button does in the preferences window. There is no setting for secondary mouse button which is confusing me.

Use the mouse that came with the Mac,

you didn't say what sort of Mac or what version of OS X you were using, to set the Mouse preferences in System Preferences.
Using the Apple Mouse will give you all the options which should then translate to the MS mouse.
