MESSAGE: "SPEED UP BROWSING BY DISABLING ADD-ONS"

by cpmdave-21209087916214755939752776832341 / November 11, 2011 12:33 AM PST

I get the above message, with 3 alternatives:
1-choose add-ons
2-ask me later
3-don't disable
I have no idea what an add-on is. I don't know if I should choose add-ons. What does "don't disable" mean...that I have add-ons and don't disable them? If so Why ask me to "choose add-ons"?
I have Win7 64bit; HP Pavilion All-in-one desktop. I use IE(9, I think).
Thanks for any help from your knowledgeable members.

Add-ons are things that you installed into IE, such as toolbars and accelerators. From the menu bar you can use Tools>Manage add-ons to view all that are present and enable or disable.

This message is meant to show you the ones that take a long time (longer than .2 seconds, I think) to start up and so delay the start-up of IE. And it gives you the option to disable them, so the start-up will be faster but those add-ons aren't working.

It's up to decide what to do with them.

I understand what the add ons are. I like my setup. How can I make the message stop popping up all the time?
