Question

low volume on mp3 downloads using overdrive media

by buffington1 / December 8, 2012 11:55 AM PST

Often download free audiobooks from local library but some are so low volume when I transfer to mp3 Sansa Fuze I can't hardly hear. Very inconsistent - downloaded 2 yesterday and one was fine but the second I can hardly hear tho mp3/speaker vol at max. Anyone know a way to increase vol during download. Media Overdrive help is useless. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I tried adding a volume booster app to my tablet and it works for all other sounds except Overdrive!

Answer
try external speaker

I have noticed that as well with overdrive and my Sansa Fuze. A few books are quieter but most are OK. You also might want to go to your settings - volume control - and make sure it is set to high volume. You could use a patch cord and play it through a loud external speaker. How old is your Fuze? I purchased a used one from eBay that looked great but the audio jack was going (you could barely hear it). Luckily they took returns. Hopefully this is not the problem. I wish they would start making the fuze again.
