To get accurate figures about shooting speeds you have to read reviews.
Here is an example:
Read the third paragraph about performance.
You will see there are other components involved too....like flash.
Since there are so many variables, no one has made a database chart that compares speed. So you should select a potential camera and read a review for that camera and see the performance figures.
I am looking for a point and shoot digital camera with a fast shutter speed. I can't find this spec on most reviews. The Kodak Smart Capture cameras looked good but I read that they lock up for about a minute after 3 or 4 pictures.
