i tried that how can i do a restore without a windows 7 disc? the laptop didn't come with a disk

You can create restore media and restore from those or the other method they described from the HDD itself.

i don't understand how do i do that? it doesn't have a windows 7 disc is there a way i can order one or a way to go back to the factory setting without the disc

You said you "tried" and not that you "did" anything.

At least you created the restore DVDs.

my laptop has a way of restoring back to factory settings without a disc i have a button i can press but that did not resolve my problem

It's a shame you didn't create those restore media. This is usually the point where owners figure out that step is not one to skip.

Now that it does not work with a factory restore you get to arrange for repair.
