Phones forum

Just recently got this phone used. I did a hard reset on it and got it activated with a pay as you go plan. When I turn it on and the home screen apears, I have a hard time sliding up the screen to unlock it. After that it freezes in certain places, ie a letter, app, phone etc. Now it's acting as if it has a mind of it's own and is going wonky with flashing back and forth to different places. Am wondering if it needs a new digitizer. Also, the battery life is poor. Any opinions as to this problem?

Can't return it. It was given to me. Tried to do a hard reset because I can't get the menu screen up and when I hold down the volume and power buttons, nothing happens. I feel the phone vibrate but nothing else.. It worked ok except for the occasional freezing when I got it..

I wouldn't put any money into that phone

The digitizer would probably cost at least $50, and might not solve those issues. YMMV.

It sells now for $299 unlocked online, so you might consider simply finding another Android model used online for $100, or go postpaid.

Reset success

Finally able to do the hard reset but the problem still persists. I had someone look at it and he said it needs a new glass digitizer. I found them on Ebay for around $20. Worth a try.
