Someone already asked the same question on the Amazon feedback.
The answer was
"You will have to adjust your telephoto out to get past outer edge of your lens. You will see the correct picture format on your view screen. "
See if that works.
If not - I would return the order to Amazon.
I ordered a lens kit from amazon for my Nikon Coolpix L810. When I opened the box, I looked through the rings, lenses, filters, etc. but (the product I got wasn't even pictured on Amazon?)
it took me hours to figure out how all of this stuff worked, and when I finally got everything working there was a large black ring after I attached the lens to the camera (like when I went to take a picture, the lens caused me to have it). I feel like that's happening because I was sent a 67mm adapter tube, a bunch of 67-72mm/72-67mm rings, but two 58mm adapters. They sent me a 67-58mm ring that my lenses both attach to, but it gets stuck to everything; I had to pry it off at least 3 times. I'll gladly order anything to fix this, I'm just not sure if I'm wrong or they people who sent me this stuff.
Also, the amazon page says that it comes with a 62mm adapter tube. Mine is 67mm.
