Leftover Question, from Resolved One

by lesliebuc / January 11, 2013 6:47 AM PST

Using XP Home, 32 bit, and I'm sure you've all heard that I.E. sometimes manages to take over as peoples' default browser. To retrieve Firefox as my default one, I have to go to Yahoo and invent another password and all that. It's a Yahoo toolbar.

Know any shortcuts, to stay away from Yahoo? If I went to Firefox 17, would it be easier? And I could make Facebook my opening page? Thanks in advance. Have a nice Friday evening and weekend.

With Firefox 17 you can
by wpgwpg / January 11, 2013 6:52 AM PST

You just press ALT-T and click Options. In the drop-down menu you'll see a large button that says "Make Firefox my default browser". It's that simple.

Good luck.
