Laptop, Tablet Combo !OR! Convertible touchscreen laptop

by Sand-Man9 / April 28, 2013 11:33 AM PDT

Ok so i am a student transferring to Virginia Tech as an engineering student this summer and there are computer requirements that the one i have doesn't meet.

There are 2 options, one is to have a Laptop, tablet (windows Cool combo OR a touchscreen convertible laptop.

Blow are the requirements for the Laptop or Convertible Laptop:

<table class="linedtable" style="border-collapse: collapse; margin: 1em 0px; font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, 'Bitstream Vera Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(76, 83, 77);"><tbody style="border-top-style: none;"><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><th style="padding: 3px; border-bottom-style: none; background-color: rgb(128, 126, 113); color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Platform</th><th style="padding: 3px; border-bottom-style: none; background-color: rgb(128, 126, 113); color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Convertible Tablet PC</th></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">OS</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Windows 7 or 8 Professional, 64-bit version</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">PC Processor</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Intel 3rd Gen Core i5 3210M (CPU Benchmarks)</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Memory (RAM)</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">8 GB</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Hard Disk Drive</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">250 GB; 7200 RPM spindle speed or SSD drive</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Input Device</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Integrated Wacom, N-Trig, or S-Pen or Companion Slate/Tablet</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Wireless</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">802.11 a/g/n dual band</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">NIC/Ethernet</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">10/100/1000 Ethernet Card - external dongle acceptable</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Backup</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">Any method. See More Info.</td></tr><tr style="background-color: rgb(226, 224, 201);"><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">
</td><td style="padding: 3px 10px; border: 1px solid rgb(153, 153, 153);">
</td></tr></tbody></table>(The Input Device row only applies to Tablets and Convertible Laptops)

My Preferences (laptop):
- I play i decent amount of games so i would like a computer with a decent enough graphics card so no Intel HD because that's the one i have now and its absolutely useless.
- Mac's are also acceptable but with at least a 750 GB hard drive so i can partition some for windows. but because of their price tag i am leaning a bit away from them.

My Preferences (Tablet):
- not very picky about the tablet but they have to be windows 8
- i was also wandering if there any other tablets like the Razer Edge Pro gaming table but with a little lower price tag.

I do not need for both the laptop and the tablet to be for games but i am having a bit of trouble choosing good ones so if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

I'm not a lenovo rep. If Lenovo won't answer a sales question then my answer must change to there is nothing like this out there.

Seems what you want is no longer out there?
