laptop manual downloads or pdf.

I would like to get an owners manual for my Acer Laptop. I can't get it from Acer because I didn't buy it new. Can anyone recommend a good free site?

Here's where you can download your user guide.
You should be able to go there, put in your model, and download your manual. I don't know why not having bought your laptop new would keep you from doing that. Also have you looked on your hard drive? For the Dell & Toshiba computers I have I can click Start -> All Programs -> Dell or Toshiba and find the user guide there.
Good luck.

But as I have linked to many end user manuals over the years I continue to start at when I need to discuss user operations of a laptop. Sometimes I'll even point out a page number.

Keep in mind that repair or service manuals are rare since such is not considered user serviceable.

PS. Post the make and full model number to get a link. Also, if you post the series number expect the next reply to ask for the exact model number.

Slowbull, go into Start, All Programs, Acer, and you should find your manual there.
