Copyright issues

Most YouTube videos are copyrighted. I imagine YouTube works very hard to disable these copyright busting utilities.

If you are using Firefox 4.0 look below the video. there should be a download button. It appears next to the "Add To" box. Also right neext to the YTD icon in the address bar there should be a small down arrow. Right click on the arrow (not the icon). near the bottom you should see "Video", left click on it & select which format you want.
I had the same problems.Hope that helps. Mel.

I'm having the same problem

I loved YTD until last year (2012) when this began happening. WHY? It's not a copyright issue as to why the downloads are failing because I am also trying to download my own uploaded videos at youtube to test that theory and they all fail too. But I am able to download ALL the videos that fail with YTD using the "Youtube Downloader HD" program which has become my downloader program ever since this happened. But you can't convert the video to audio like YTD but I can live with that.

I hope this question gets answered simply. YTD worked for years and now, it doesn't work at all. FAQ at their website has you jumping through hoops to uninstall Zone Alarm, McAfee, among other things...both programs of which I've been using for years with no conflict with YTD.
