Is this a virus

by fourfish / May 6, 2013 8:58 PM PDT

hi there, just recently when i go visit sites where i normally go . certain words have now turned red and if i hover over the words an advertisement or quiz for i phone 5 or something will pop up ,i noticed it first on steinbergs site ,words like software, track, play, answer and windows seem to be culprits .i clicked on one and it took me somewhere and when i tried to exit the page a pop up saying do you want to exit this page came up, you know the one`s which have you going round in circles and you can never exit , so to exit the page i have open task manager and force shut it down, i have norton internet security on my pc and it seems to have protected me fine up to press but i have recently changed over to norton 360 ,i don`t know if that would make a difference ,i have also tried malware bites to see if it could find anthing but no luck. anyway does this problem sound familiar to anybody if so how do i get rid of it .
