Is this a good deal on Alienware?

A person in my are is offering an alienware m17x that was lightly used for 800$ it looks like its in great conditions and has all of the base model features. Is there anything with a comparable price out there that is better than this or should I buy i get this.

Gaming laptops do not age well. Repairs easily hit 800 bucks in year 3.

Yeah gaming computers can go bad quickly but if it's only been lightly used and if it's not too old, I'd say go for it.

The m17x laptop can run ya up to about 2600$, so 800$ is a pretty good deal if it's in good condition and not too old.
