the reason I said that is because since you can't repair it and don't know what you are going to do with the speakers, you will end up like me...a house full of junks.
Few days ago the main satellite of my speaker set (Logitech X-530) accidentally fell on the floor and the volume knob was broken. No sound came from the speakers after this. By opening the speaker I could see that the entire knob was ripped off from the silicon board. I could still hear pieces of sound when I pieced it back but there was no way to secure it. I guessed that if this specific component could be replaced (perhaps some soldering DIY) then the speakers should go back to normal, but sadly that component seemed custom-made.
I am now very reluctant to throw the speakers away because physically they are still in good shape except that something is wrong with the circuit board. (By the way this speaker set is out of warranty.) I just want to know is there anything I can salvage from this set of speakers? Or should I harden up my mind and say goodbye?
