Is computrace LoJack worth it?

by Olly_Oxenfree / May 12, 2013 10:56 AM PDT

I am going to purchase the Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 and during the purchase process it asked if i wanted to buy Computrace LoJack. Just wondering if it is worth it for the $90~. I am not careless with my electronics and would never just leave it sit.

Any response would be great!

While there are plenty of positive web pages about it, the last time I looked at this there was no way to execute a secure wipe of the remote machine.

Did you consider PREY 2?

I have not considered it. I will now though. I had never really heard of any software like that before. Thank you!
