I discovered a way to manually install the INI file and other drivers:
1. Copy All Files from \IR-503-Keyboard\PPC2003\English to PPC Programs "\TEMP" directory
2. From PPC \TEMP Run the Setup Program
3. On PPC, Programs Menu, select IR Keyboard Icon
4. Check PPC "Enabled"
5. Soft Boot Device
The Keyboard Should Work.
The popular OEM Citipack IR-503 Wireless IR Keyboard install program requires ActiveSync (4.5) which was an XP application. After successfully installing Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 and Sync'ing my IPAQ h5550 (Pocket PC 2003), the Keyboard Driver install program still gives me an error that it cant find the ActiveSync Program. The MFR website Citipack.com.tw was no help.
Is there any way I can MANUALLY install the PortableKB.ini file? There are also six other files in 8.3 format with *.001 to *.005 names that indicate they are to run on the PPC.
Any ideas, tips?
