Hey all! My wife just upgraded to ios7 but no longer recieves live mail alerts from the mail app (she has to press mail to receive her new messages and has a Gmail account). is there any way to fix this so she receives an alert as soon as she gets a message? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Probably a pending update....

....will resolve this issue for you. As much as we hope that the phone manufacturers fully troubleshoot OS updates, these things happen. Patches to the OS have become the norm, just ask Microsoft. Remember the iOS upgrade when Apple's GPS application stopped working properly?

Re-check the mail settings

It sounds like your are not longer set up to have mail 'pushed' to your iOS device.

Resetting the mail settings/deleting and re-adding the account may clear it up before to any sort of iOS patch which might not arrive for a few weeks or longer.
