iPhones, iPods, & iPads

Question

iOS Question.

by XFChief / June 13, 2013 5:59 AM PDT

I have an iPhone 5 & my wife has a 4S. I have both under one account. My problem is - in the Contacts Section in Settings you list who you are "My Info." . I obviously have each iPhone set appropriately however both iPhone's keep changing the person's name (info.) to the opposite of the actual Owner info. How can I set this "setting" permenently ?

What I read:
- There's only a beta version now for developers.
- it will be released for general use in the fall.
- It will run on iPhone 4 and higher.

Does this answer your first question?

Answer
I think that's a real issue.

If these also use the same Apple ID for the store I fear you to SOL.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3141813?start=0&tstart=0 notes how to change to another Apple ID but I ran into where the phones were owned by the same owner and they were not going to use another Apple ID as that meant having to pay twice for apps (which is not something I will enter into the debate about.)

Is this that issue?

Not sure about your "Contacts" location, but my iPhone 5 name is under "Settings; General and About".
I have an iPhone 3S; 4; 4S and a 5. All have different names on them and I use one account in iTunes to manage each. I haven't found "My info" on any of my phones.

My iTunes syncs particular apps to each phone and makes separate backups of each.
