iobit download

by Wadda / November 12, 2008 9:58 PM PST

I have been trying to download smart defrag. It downloads fine but when I go to run it I receive a message to I want to abort/retry/cancel. I cannot get past this point. I had the program on line but this is an update. Any suggestions? Thank you for taking the time to help with this problem.

Update?

If the program is already installed on your computer, and what you are downloading is an update, then your first step is to contact the software makers themselves. The update may be corrupt or may be causing problems.

Perhaps the software maker's web site has a Support section, or even a forum?

I have been trying to contact iobit to no avail. Still cannot download the upgrade. I downloads almost 3/4 of the way and then I receive abort/retry/cancel message. They keep sending me reminder that I need to upgrade but will not allow me to do so.

Thank you,

Tell us more about your system and your internet connection

The notes in red above each post window apply.

Do you use a download manager? If so, try disabling it and download the update again. Sometimes download managers can do this. If that fails, what about trying to download the update on another computer directly from their web site, then transfer it to a flash drive or a CD so you can copy it onto your system.

What is Iobit, and where is their web site? How do they contact you to tell you there is an update available? If it is by email, then they should have an email contact address as well.
