by PCLearnrap / December 19, 2011 9:21 AM PST

Attempted download of FreeOCR (Fx 7,Win 7) but when executed installer got "internet connection error". (Just downloaded 7-Zip and worked fine - so my internet connection is OK).

Tried searching CNET Forum but too many entries to go through.

"File not found." when I use the direct link.

Looks like the author has moved the cheese.

PS. Link for the download crew is http://download.cnet.com/FreeOCR/3000-10743_4-10717191.html

PS2. Checking the maker's site shows no sign of this product. It's possible they have decided to no longer offer it.
