Internet Browser Via TV

by francinerudley / March 21, 2010 5:09 AM PDT

I would like to download TV shows off the internet to appear onto my tv.

Most internet ready boxes have widgets where you can download movies, I would like to have a browser so I can go to the main TV sites( NBC, ABC, Showtime) to download the shows, is the only way to do this, is to make my TV a PC monitor? or is there some type of box that might have a hardrive/DVR but browser ready? or can download TV shows?

Computer output is USB
TV input/ component or SVideo

You need a PC w/ VGA out to TV
by Pepe7 / March 22, 2010 12:14 AM PDT

Most low-mid end PCs/laptops will not do video out via USB. Typically a VGA connection is used to accomplish this.

Please be more specific about the exact makes/models of *ALL* equipment in your stable (PCs/HDTVs/etc.) so we can recommend some options. Be specific and detailed so we can know the specifications of each device as needed. ;).

Download and burn
by LucJs / March 22, 2010 7:00 AM PDT

What I usually do is download something, burn it on a DVD-RW disk and play it in the DVD player. Works fine.
