installing ethernet driver on aspire 7741z-4433

by bassace1 / January 19, 2013 2:13 PM PST

I installed a faster hard drive and windows 7 ultimate on my aspire 7741z-4433. I went to the acer driver download site from another computer and downloaded the ethernet controller driver on a flash drive. I put it in the downloads folder and tried to install it but it will not install. I need all the drivers and updates but can't get to the internet. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

In order to post here you had to get to the internet. Use this computer to find the drivers if they exist at acer.com

But that's a side discussion. Remember that for windows our install plan is generally like this.

1. OS (natch)
2. motherboard drivers.
3. audio, video, lan, wifi drivers.
4. HELPER APPS (these turn on the wifi, etc.)

I can't tell you the exact plan but there is a good reason you want the restore media. Saves you from all the wrok..
