ICal invites not opening in Outlook 2007

When I send an ICal invite from my Mac to my work PC I can open and save the calendar date, but my wife is not able to do that on her work PC also using Outlook 2007. I am using Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro 17".
Whats' up?

Solution: Zamain for Mac

Hi ksoudani1,

There's a basic compatibility issues between Apple iCal and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange. Apple iCal strictly adhere to the iCalendar standard whereas Outlook/Exchange does not. My suspicion is that in one of your scenarios there's an Exchange server and in another there's not.

I've been dealing with a similar issue in the workplace for about 3 years now, so I know your pain. Since I'm a developer at heart, I decided to tackle the problem on my own and built a software product called Zamain for Mac to resolve the Apple iCal to Microsoft Outlook/Exchange incompatibilities. I originally built the product for myself, but soon realized that this can help others as well. Here are the major issues that Zamain for Mac resolves:

* Supports sending Apple iCal invitations from multiple Apple Mail email accounts

* Resolves the "unable to Accept" Apple iCal invitations sent to Microsoft Outlook/Exchange recipients

* Resolves incorrect time zones for Microsoft Outlook/Exchange recipients

* Prevents multiple attachments when viewing Apple iCal invitation emails in Microsoft Outlook

Zamain for Mac

I was so excited to find this post as I just bought my first Mac, a new MacBook Air, and quickly ran into the iCal to Outlook problem. I bought and downloaded Zamain for Mac, installed it, went thru each of the steps, but it didn't work. I used the Contact Us link on the Zamain website and described the problem, asking for help to get Zamain for Mac working. Once that was submitted a page popped up saying I'd be contacted within 2 bus days and probably sooner. Two days later, no contact, so I submitted another request for help the same way. There is no direct email, phone number or chat capability, only the Contact Us link. Now it's been 5 days since the first request and 3 days since the second one. No contact, Zamain still doesn't work. So I sent a request thru PayPal to get the support I needed from Zamain to get the software working, and if not, I needed a refund. Within a few hours, a refund showed up. No one from Zamain ever contacted me to even try and figure out why their product would not work. Really disappointed.
So don't buy this product. It doesn't work. Maybe it used to but it doesn't now!

Zamain for Mac does not properly. It installed without a problem, but it does not automatically open when I create an Outlook appointment (as the directions said it would) and it doesn't do anything when I open manually. I sent two requests to support (as listed on the site) and I received no response (two weeks have passed since I sent the first request for assistance). This software should not be purchased as it is a waste of money. I am hoping to recover the money I spent via a dispute with PayPal.
