That's a great idea to install an antivirus program. And, of course, on this Avast forum we'll say that Avast is a great choice.

You can download the trial version for free from the avast web site, but for the full version you will have to pay to them.

You can download the free version for free. For the paid version you have to pay.
There's no such thing as a trial version.

I am agreed with 'Kees_B' there is only 2 types free version and paid version. Trial version meand after a particular time period that software stops working. As in a free version of Avast antivirus the functions (security options) are limited however there is no time period.
