That's Denial Of Service, DOS, and may be considered malicious by many, including genuine web sites and Law Enforcement Agencies;

Your choice there but it is not a method I would ever recommend to others in these forums and elsewhere.
Personally I have little problem with spam and that is because of a combination of good practices and spam filtering by my ISP, so I see little to recommend in your method.
I did see where you said "Don't spam forums etc" and I am pleased that you agree this is not good, because you will have noticed that your first post in these forums was deleted because you spam linked to your own blog. We routinely delete spam posts.
Well, I got so sick and tired of spam so I decided that it was time to do something about it.
Off to work I went finding out what is needed to stop spam. With a little bit of reading, I found out not much worked.
The emails that were coming into my inbox had everyday names on them, and kept changing, so unless I blocked all names I couldn't seem to block them.
SPAM of course is junkmail, but it's much more than that. It's people somewhere else in the world sending you an email with the hope that when you click the link, it will take you to their website, where you would buy something. Maybe not that day, but if you visit the website enough, that you may just buy things from there.
To me, if you get a spam email from somewhere then you purchase something from their website, then you are helping spam stay alive. People must purchase from these places or they wouldn't keep sending them.
Anyway, I have had those damn emails for years and it never stopped, UNTIL NOW!.
The emails that I had been getting most recently were emails that seem to bounce of a legitimate website and redirect to theirs, I don't know how they did this but they did.
It seems to be safe to click on these links as all they want is for you to buy their rubbish, usually pharmaceutical products.
This is what I did......
My browser is firefox, this works differently for different versions of firefox and may be different for internet explorer. Find what works for you for the following.
I clicked on an email link and waited until it opened up on the offending website.
I placed the mouse over a link, the links are usually all the same links address opening to another website or links that stay on the same website just different pages.
When the mouse is over the link, I held the shift key continuously and clicking with the scroller click I opened that link in a new tab, which opened behind the main page I was using.
I then clicked the same link in the same way for a couple of hundred clicks.
These took for ever to open, but that was the point, it slowed down their website dramatically which made them block my IP address. This meant that I couldn't access their website.
After some time, maybe an hour or a day, my IP address was removed and I was allowed back on.
So I simply just repeated the process. They obviously don't like their website being slowed so after about 4 - 6 days, I stopped getting emails from them, SUCCESS!
I did this to all my junk and now I don't get any more.
There is no trick to this or anything like that.
Imagine if a couple of hundred people clicked on their website a couple of hundred times, CRASH! goes their website. This is the best way that I have found to stop this rubbish, so pass this on to everyone that you know.
DO NOT SEND IT VIA SPAM or that just defeats the purpose. Don't spam forums etc, not good either.
I just want people to get the word out on how to do this, maybe this has been said somewhere before, which would be great that other people have found the answer.
