I accidentally formatted my sd card. PLEASE HELP.

by screamoutloud12345 / June 3, 2011 4:08 PM PDT

I've been using this sd card for a few years. There's so much sweet memories in there. I accidentally formatted my sd card last night without saving any backups. And took a photograph. Have been trying many different types of software to retrieve back my photos but it's not working. Please help me. I really need those photos.

Time to find a good data recovery company and ask how much it will cost.

In the future, try to copy those pictures you really need (maybe even those you don't really need) to your PC once in a while. And then backup to, say, a DVD or webbased storage.

It's a shame you didn't list what you tried. I can't guess if you tried this or the others.

Don't want to sound like a hard a** but this is a prime example of the importance of backing up your data.
