Both have service manuals so as a service tech I'm sure you know why you need that to work such products.
My Samsung HT-BD8200 Sound Bar was a bit strange from the start. It used to switch itself on in the middle of the night (and the Samsung TV that it was connected to by Aynet). I could live with that... I switched the power off whenever it wasn't in use. A quick google indicated that this wasn't at all uncommon...
Then one day it simply wouldn't switch on. The on/off touch-switch just flashed red/white. I took it to the local Samsung repairer who told me that it appears to be a problem with the circuit board and that the model is no longer supported, so a replacement is not available.
I am in the process of doing the limited amount of testing on the board that I can, given I have no circuit diagrams... but any suggestions would be most welcome...
Having pulled the board out, the part number is an AH44-00215B
Samsungparts.com list a 215A... I wonder if the two are interchangeable...?
A supplier in the Netherlands lists the 215B (at roughly twice the price).
There is no guarantee that this is in fact the problem...just what the tech said. I may just initially order the service manual and see if I can sort it out further before ordering any major parts.
