Try

Try howardforums but I found the other carrier won't support you unless you lock it to their system.

And it was not funny to chat with some new to this person that thought unlocking meant you could use those other carriers without paying!

In reply to: Try

Bob,

I haven't said that I want to use those other carriers without paying. I just want to use same device for other carriers by just unlocking it (if it's possible). I am asking the procedure to unlock huawei EC156 modem.

If you know how to unlock, then please do let me know.

Thanks,
Gagz.

Since the carriers here will not give you data services unless you lock it to their system (which they do for you) why not take their free access stick? There's no savings here where I live to use my own card plus if there is any trouble I would not have support for my card.

I wonder if you knew this.

SIMs - note type
by stab4in / January 13, 2013 9:54 PM PST

Pls note that you cannot use Airtel or similar GSM SIMs will not work. You can expect only CDMA RUIMs to work. I am not sure but possibly only BSNL will give you such a connection. Tata and Reliance do not provide DATA RUIMs as far as I know
