How to set wireless network card into promiscuous mode?

by tanalyw / June 23, 2008 11:47 PM PDT

Does anyone knows how to set a wireless card into promiscuous mode?
The wireless network card I am using is Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.

How can I set it into promiscuous mode? Thanks.

Currently I have been tasked to sniff and capture packet for a project. How am I supposed to set my wireless card to promiscuouc mode in my program?

The source code to get this card into that mode is in the Linux sniffer programs. Sorry but I won't be doing the digging work for you on this.

But at least it's there for the taking.
