Question

How to recover lost files after cutting and pasting folder?

by juduch / March 26, 2013 8:59 AM PDT

I cut some images from my sd memory card and pasted them in another folder but the computer shut down in the middle so now the images are not in the sd card and in the folder I pasted them I see the windows 7 default thumbnail and the number of the image but when I try to open the image it says "windows photo viewe cant open this picture because either photo viewer doesnt support this file format, or you dont have the latest updates to photo viewer"
The problem isnt with all the pictures I tried to transfer, its just with the last seven or so
thanks!

That's Why We COPY & Paste Before Cutting

Unfortunately, the files were almost surely lost/corrupted during the time when the computer shut down.. If they are extremely important, you might try recovery software like "Recuva" or something similar... Or a professional recovery company may be required.

Hope this helps.

Have you lost files due to interruption while cut and paste process. So, no need to worry now because you can easily get back all the lost files with success by using Remo Recover Windows free tool, which is very powerful in recovering files in such situation.
