If there is no connect automatically and you can't use XP SP3's own wifi management then you want to get one that works better.
I have a GetNet GN-531U Wireless Network Adaptor ("dongle") connected via USB to an old PC running Windows XP Pro. It works fine, is stable and the signal strength is good. The only irritation is that every time I switch the PC on, I have to select my network, enter the password and click 'Connect'.
With a newer PC (also XP Pro) and a Netgear WiFi dongle, it connects automatically and quickly to the Internet as soon as the PC has booted up.
Does anyone know how to achieve this with the GetNet dongle?
