How to get rid of Search.Start.Now on Google Chrome

How do I get rid of this page that keeps popping up when I open Google Chrome. I tried to go to the control panel and uninstall it..but it is still there. I uninstalled Google Chrome and then ran AVG and then reinstalled Google Chrome and its there again

Did you miss the part about booting into Safe Mode and then running AVG?

OR

The part that told you that Symantec (Norton) claimed that they could remove it and the provided link that gave full and complete instructions on how to remove it?

If in google chrome just go to the wrench menu> settings> Set pages> click on the X next to startnow.search.com link

I also had to reset my home button in Google Chrome to Google. The startnow site had entered itself there.

Wrench menu in google chrome,>settings>click on the light blue (set pages)right click startnow.search. Then click the X. your done. It's gone!

how to get rid of ALL Chrome problems

Get fid of locale data files won't open, inaccessible files reinstall, lost favorite websites or apps, starting chrome, starting websites if at all, DELETE GOOGLE C.HROME. I did and IE is faster and absoluely no hassles.
