A lot depends on how it is broken. If the software is messed up, like maybe the SD card with the maps got wiped, Magellan should provide you with a software update. If the hardware is broken, then you will need to send it in. You can find a lot of information on Magellan's support page: http://www.magellangps.com/support/

Good luck.

Magellan does not fix units out of warranty

Magellan does not fix anything out of warranty. if your unit is out of warranty, they will give a small credit to a buy new or reconditioned unit.

Not sure why people post incomplete replies.

If you have a broken GPS, there are online sites who offer to repair them. Just Google and be careful with your selection. Make sure they provide an 800 number. That is usually a good sign of a professional company.

I have a Magellan 1212 which works great but the LCD screen got a spider crack in it which affects the touch screen capability. Besides the Manufacture, Does anyone sell a replacement part for the screen?
