by eamonn_barr / December 17, 2011 5:25 PM PST

Hi i have an android phone registered to a google account. I now also have an android tablet. When i try to download apps to tablet i have to sign in so apps are then sent to the phone and not tablet. I cannot seem to create seperate account for tablet. How can i either give tablet it,s own id or at least pair it with phone so apps go to both devices. Help

My tablet has the android market and I sign in with my google account and I'm done.

I wonder if you left out details about the market you are using?

Yes.

In reply to: account

I used the google market app and use my same login for each.

You did not answer my question and that may be why you are having this issue. Your phone might not be using the google marketplace app.

As to choose app goes where that's a basic skill. Let's find a tutorial on this. Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvTs3fkrCJg

Hope this helps,

Your question is confusing

But in terms of: "pair it with phone so apps go to both devices"

If you download an app on your phone, it's on your phone, not tablet. If you download it on your tablet, then it's there and not on your phone. They are two different devices, regardless of what account you're using.

I think you helped me understand what they are trying to do.

But they must write more.

I think they want the apps they buy/fetch on both devices but not use the same account for the Google Marketplace.

--> Bang. They're dead.

Why? Because the apps are for that user. If I create two users, I get to buy two copies. It's quite simple.
