Question

How Much is my old computer worth? (Toshiba T3100/20)

by Ozscars / April 25, 2013 11:44 AM PDT

Hi everyone I was at an event and I picked up a 1986 Toshiba T3100/20, I turned it on and everything seems to be working and everything but I don't know how much it is worth. It also comes with a carry case! So if anyone knows anything please let me know.

Here's a spreadsheet for you

Let's say it was worth $1500 in '86. Given that computers lose half their value every 2 years, here's how it works out:
86 $1,500.00
88 $750.00
90 $375.00
92 $187.50
94 $93.75
96 $46.88
98 $23.44
100 $11.72
102 $5.86
104 $2.93
106 $1.46
108 $0.73
110 $0.37
112 $0.18
114 $0.09
`
So last year it was worth 18 cents and by 2014 it'll be worth $0.09. How's that? Mischief
