How do I stop web pages from opening without being inputed?

by charlieb77 / August 8, 2012 1:29 AM PDT

A web site (ad.yieldmanager) keeps opening ads through it's web page. I have tried to just type in the page, but it doesn't seem to exist. When it opens on my computers I get a series of 3 ads in a row, each opening in a new window. I did a computer search for a file containing the name, but can't find it.

Most web browsers can be set to disallow popups or disallow sites from opening up other pages.

Some web browsers can use Adblock Plus to stop unwanted ads.

Your post is a little unclear but why go to sites that annoy you?

I don't go to it

Thanks for responding. I don't go to this website. It came out of nowhere and just pops up from time to time with ads. I only tried to go to it see why they were intruding on my computer, but can't find the actual site. It's like a worm or virus for ads, but my security program can't find it and doesn't recognize it.

So it's malware? Try Grif's advice.
