I installed TM originally on Leopard in June 2011 and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. I suffered some type of crash in October and while my dedicated external TM drive shows the existence of about 100GB of saved files, all dates before November 2012 are grayed out and cannot be accessed.
Thus I lost a book I was editing and some 800 musical compositions. Finder and Monitor searches of ALL DRIVES by name and/or suffix show nothing. Fortunately, some 11,000 photos were saved to a second external drive and were not affected.
Requests to Apple for help (my Care subscription ended recently...) are of no avail.
Can anyone help?
