How do I remove bing from my computer?

by bob5326 / May 9, 2011 7:15 PM PDT

This is a HP pavilion d4790y with a new install of vista business 4 days ago. Three days ago, massive amount of up-dates installed including windows live, Internet explorer up-dates. I install Mozilla FireFox, with google as my search engine. I have no Bing toolbars, no bing add-ons, and no MSN toolbars. There was a bing search box in the internet explorer header. Yesterday, any search i did in firefox (google),came back with a bing header. The same with Internet explorer (google), comes back with a bing header. Please help my get rid of bing from my computer.

First, make sure you uninstall the Bing bar from Control Panel-Programs and Features. Then follow the instructions in the link below. It might be a good idea to read the entire thread if it doesn't fix it.

Hope this helps.

Maybe it`s my ineptitude in trying to explain things
All I want is an answer if it`s available on how to remove bing from my computer

I keep getting replies on how to remove the toolbar, which is non existent, I don`t have a toolbar
but bing garbage keeps hijacking my home page

I`ve spent considerable time in trying to resolve this and whilst I appreciate the efforts
that people have tried to help it`s all to no avail

Thanks in advance for any help in resolving this exasperating problem

Move the mouse cursor inside the search box at the top right of the Firefox window and click the down arrow next to the provider's logo.
