How do I lose Getting Started in Word 2010

by pavery1 / May 16, 2011 11:43 PM PDT

Hi people
Sorry this is basic and boring but how do you lose the side the side panel on Word 2010. Its the part with "Get Started", "Do More" and "Get More" links with the Microsoft ad at the bottom of the page.
It really gets in the way of resizing the window when you have mutiple documents open on the screen. Any help would be much appreciated.

You cannot. Sorry to say, but this is the advertising which lets you use Office '10 for free until you actually buy it. Because Microsoft have put the files for MS Word 2010 in a remote location with no editable files whatsoever, there is no hack to get rid of it. Every time you launch it, it goes online and updates itself, so it would replace the sidebar if you removed it with a hack.

Sorry, but the solution is money.
