how do i convert wordpad file to a doc file

computer crashed and i copied a docx file to another computer and it changed it to wordpad. I need to convert the wordpad xml to word doc.

Bring up Word and open it

I've never seen a document created by Wordpad that Word couldn't open. Open Word, then have it open the file. It should open.

I use Google Docs and LibreOffice for that.

Copying a file doesn't change it. And Wordpad isn't a file format but a program, and documents can't be changed in a program. And Wordpad doesn't use xml-format: the default format is rft, and the version in Windows 7 can also SaveAs as .docx, .odt and several .txt variants (and, yes, .docx is kind of XML, used by MS Word also).

So your post is quite incomprehensible.
