Answer
Removing PC Cleaner..

dagopapa...

You've given us little information, as to what methods of removal your tried. Additionally, it would have helped to know a bit more about your operating system.

With the above considered, I would first suggest opening the Task Manager to see if you find a "PCCleanerpro.exe" (or the like) running, under the Processes Tab. If there, highlight it and click on "End Process".

Many have had success removing unwanted programs with the Revo Uninstaller. Their FREE version should do the job.

As an added precaution, I would also suggest installing the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Update it, and run it to see if it picks up any traces of PC Cleaner. You might want to consider keeping it as a stand-alone scanner.

An added word of advice. Most at the forum recommend against installing any sort of "cleaners or optimizers". As you already found out, they create more problems then the fix.

Best of luck..
Carol

Thank you for your quick reply. I should have said I tried to uninstall by using the control panel and clicking uninstall. When I did this, it would not remove the program. I'm using windows 7. I will try what you suggested and let you know the results. I will definitely follow your advise about not using cleaners.
